John Ketes Essay

John Keats was an English amative poet during the late 17th and earlier 18th centuries. His works inspired many upcoming poets of his time, and he eventually evolved into one of the most commonly known quixotic poets. One of this greatest songs is a sonnet entitled When I Have Fears That I May Cease To Be, was written in 1817 and published in 1818. This meter is an expression of Keats fears, which include death, and non fulfilling what he wants most in life. In the poem he expresses his desire for love and fame, but in the end he accepts his requisite fate. His fears act as the main theme in the poem and are constantly reaffirmed. An analysis of the theme sess be further developed when looking closer at the quad sectionalizations of the poem. These sections include the first-year, turn, and third quatrains, and the concluding couplet. In the first quatrain the verbalizer describes his fear of not only death, but anxious(p) out cause he has fulfilled his life work. T he first draw inion solely says that he has fears that he may cease to be in other words, the fear that he willing die. In the chip line he introduces his fear of dying before he has picked his brain clean of all it has to offer. He explains his plentiful brain, replete with fellowship and how he is afraid that he will swoon before his pen is fit to glean it, essence to extract all of the poetry and knowledge it withholds. In addition, in the neighboring line he further restates his fear in apothegm that he will die before he is able to write enough and has high-piled books(Line 2). The last line of this section is think with him saying that he wants to be rich with liberal ripen grain(Line 4). The grain is a metaphor for knowledge and how he wants to possess a full understanding of the world. Keats is saying that his ideas and creativity are unlimited, but his lifespan limits him, and that is what he fears most. The second quatrain of the poem introduces a new a spect of the poem, love.
